How should deliverable Looms be prepared?

Written by Theresa

Deliverable Looms are short videos that accompany a concept, a deliverable, or a round of revisions. Their purpose is to give clients additional context so they can easily understand your ideas and creative decisions. They help us maintain a collaborative environment with busy clients who may not always have time for meetings but still need work delivered quickly. Looms let us clearly share our thinking in just a few minutes (2-5 minutes ideally to be exact!).

Here is how a deliverable Loom should be prepared

  1. Prepare your deliverable before recording

    • Add the necessary descriptions or notes directly on the deliverable itself to have the content both in verbal and written format.

    • Include a delivery date and a clear title on the Miro frame.

    • Make sure the layout is tidy: consistent asset sizing, even spacing, readable typography, etc.

  2. Set up your recording environment

    • Make sure you are in a quiet, well-lit space and check that your internet connection is stable.

    • Add a simple branded background to your Loom camera window (e.g., a yellow background that matches Designity branding).

    • Keep your camera on—clients appreciate the personal connection!

    • Position the camera window so it doesn’t cover important content.
