How should deliverable Looms be recorded?

Written by Theresa

Deliverable Looms are short videos that accompany a concept, a deliverable, or a round of revisions. Their purpose is to give clients additional context so they can easily understand your ideas and creative decisions. They help us maintain a collaborative environment with busy clients who may not always have time for meetings but still need work delivered quickly. Looms let us clearly share our thinking in just a few minutes (2-5 minutes ideally to be exact!).

Here is what the Loom should include:

  1. A warm, friendly greeting

We’re the client’s creative partner. Every touchpoint is an opportunity to build trust and strengthen the relationship.

  2. A brief overview of the deliverable

    • Highlight the main ideas, the creative intentions, and any important feedback implementations.

    • Explain key decisions so the client understands why things were done a certain way. Looms are an opportunity to back up your creative recommendations. For example, if the client asked for a full red background but it hurts readability, mention that you explored their request and then explain why your proposed solution works better.

  3. Close with next steps

Show the client-view timeline at the end so they know what’s coming next.

Lastly, here are some examples for you to review:
